First and foremost, I hope this message finds you and your family well and enjoying getting back to your exercise regime. I wanted to provide an update as the Center for Fitness and Health has been open for three weeks since the state mandate to close due to the Covid-19 virus. We are excited that so many members have trusted us and returned to the Center.

Recently, the region has seen an increase in the number of active cases due to the virus, so I wanted to take this opportunity to provide a reminder as to the protocols that have been put in place to enhance the safety of our members and staff.

  • Social distancing should be practiced. Maintain at least 6 feet of separation from other individuals not within the same household. There are signs throughout the facility to serve as a reminder.
  • Additional Gym Wipe and Hand Sanitization stations have been placed throughout the center. Please continue safe hygienic practices. Please disinfect equipment prior to and after usage.
  • Continued staff training on cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting protocols.
  • Employee temperatures are taken prior to each shift and if temperature measures at or above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit the employees will be sent home.
  • Staff will continue to disinfect equipment throughout the day to enhance the disinfection process.
  • Workout gloves are also encouraged.
  • Please self-screen before coming to the facility and please stay home should you be running a fever or exhibiting any of the signs or symptoms of the Covid-19 virus.

Thankfully, we have not had any reports of infections among our membership or staff and these measures will aid in minimizing the risk of infection. As always, thank you for your adherence to these guidelines and do not hesitate to contact the CFH should you have any questions.

Yours in Good Health, Don Doyle General Manager

Dear Center for Fitness and Health Member,

The CFH team and I are excited to announce that the Center will re-open on Monday, June 8th with some accommodations for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  The health and wellness of our members and staff has always been our top priority and will only be enhanced as we navigate a “return to normal.”  During the time that CFH has been closed, we have cleaned and sanitized all equipment surfaces and member touch points, locker rooms, pools and pool decks, group exercise studios and our childcare facilities.  In the next week we will have all carpets, tile areas and the pool decks sanitized as well in preparation for your return to the facility.

With regard to your membership dues, since The Center for Fitness and Health closed effective March 17th and will re-open June 8th, we will apply the remaining two weeks credit from membership dues from March to June.  To thank you for your continued support, we will not be billing for the remainder of June membership dues.  Normal billing will resume on July 1st.  Special accommodations are available for those who may be at risk by returning at this time.  To discuss your options please call the membership office at (724) 379 – 2065.
